About the chapter that hasn’t yet been written….

I will write it pretty soon, I promise!  I’m taking a step back and trying to really think this one through because it will have implications for everything, and I want to make sure all things are in place.  I think this next chapter will actually be the last of Story 4, and it will set up some of the concerns for the beginning of Story 5.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive and I am still writing–I just haven’t written the next chapter (yet). I have actually been playing the game(!) and I started a neighborhood/prosperity blog, which you can read here if you are so inclined. The storytelling is much more guided by in-game events, and very few shots are staged– in other words, it’s an entirely different animal from this story series.

Baby!

So I finally had my baby–little Elizabeth Jeanette was born on June 26th, and I’ve been pretty busy trying to learn how to be a mother.  Here’s a picture of her:

 

I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get back to this story, but rest assured, I will get back to it.  Things are very hectic with family and friends visiting and simply trying to find the time to sleep and eat, and shower is challenging!  Thanks to all of you for your continued patience, and for your support.

‘Tween the Chapters Fun: My Computer Blew Up!

Hi Everybody!  As you can tell from the title, a new chapter will not be forthcoming for a bit.  Early this week, my computer started shooting sparks out the back when I tried to load up my game.  It was traumatic, to say the least.  After some research and consulting with people in the know, my hubby ordered a newer, better power source and it should be in early next week.  We won’t know the extent of the damage until we can actually power on the computer–so I have to beg for your patience, gentle readers.  All is not lost, however,  and for those who are kind enough to check for updates, you’ll at least get to see a few things that I always wanted to post, but could never seem to find the time or inclination to do before.

Because I’m absurdly proud…

What’s really crazy is that I didn’t even realize that Fast Lane Stuff would have gas pumps.  I’d already decided to start this scene out at a gas station, and I was going to look around in the objects to see what I could use that looked enough like a fuel pump for picture purposes.  Turns out I didn’t need to worry, because I’d just picked up the stuff pack and it had some pumps.  They look retro, but hey–not bad.  I was so happy!

So, in the comments after the last post, I mentioned that I had to redo the pictures.  Originally, the scene was set before Sean showers–and ended with him leaving the room to shower.  If you look at the picture below, you might be able to see why I thought I should redo the pictures and go with a slightly different scenario (warning: if you haven’t read Chapter 21, this picture contains a spoiler).
